I performed a tune up and safety check on a Lennox air conditioner. I found the return air filter was dirty so I replaced it. I also found that the evaporator was dirty and the condenser coil was in poor shape. I recommended due to the age of the system replacing with a new unit.
Upon inspection, I found the unit was operating normally and there was nothing wrong. I talked with the customer and explained what they saw was normal operation for a furnace. I provided a quote for a new system upon request of the customer. System is operational upon departure.
I found the furnace cutting out and not providing heat. I checked over the entire furnace looking for the issue. I did not find any major issues. I did find the condensate trap clogged, cleared it. I cycled the system for 20 minutes and had no issues. System is operational upon departure.
I found the flame sensor to be having issues. I pulled it, cleaned it, and reinstalled it. System is now functioning properly. I also found the ignitor had a hotspot on it which could cause it to fail at any moment. I made the customer aware. System is operational upon departure.
